Job Description SummarySystems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users needs. The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation.
Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

Reviews and understands the applicable standards required by Law for Onshore Wind Turbines installed in North America. Communicates standards to the design community and maintains it.Participates with independent third parties to perform product compliance and certification work (testing, design review etc.) and communicates results/actions to the relevant engineering and supply chain team.Interacts with outside engineering firms or governmental agencies to provide or record product compliance to required regional or national standards to gain the needed product certification or qualification.Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance.Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's DegreeMinimum of 3 years of experience in engineeringFluent in EnglishAbility and availability to travel 10% to 20% of the year

The salary range for this position is $88,600 - $147,600 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation. This posting is expected to close on August 2nd or thereafter.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
