As a member of the Kimberly-Clark Beech Island, SC Plant Engineering Team, you’ll be a critical member to help support the Wet Wipes® production. In this role, you’ll report to the Asset Leader, Wet Wipes, Family Care.

In this role you will: 

Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel.

Drive improvement in speed, waste and delay per asset objectives 

Ensure conformance to FPS, review results and initiates programs to reduce variability to meet quality scorecard metrics

Identify cost savings opportunities and manage expense spending to unit budget limits

Lead and support the operations teams in trouble shooting

Effectively interface with inter-plant departments, staff LCM Process team, Research and Capital Execution teams

Develop knowledge and skills in leadership of the application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, and project management

Identify complex technical issues and provide necessary solutions to determine root cause

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university  

3+ years of experience in a variety of technical or operational assignments in a manufacturing or R&D environment

Demonstrated ability to work independently, or as part of a team while providing task-oriented direction to others to complete projects within required timeframes

Experience using manufacturing analysis tools, such as:  statistical process control, design of experiments, process capability studies

Experience using Excel through Midas

Ability to work 9/80 schedule

Preferred:

Six Sigma and lean manufacturing experience

Salary Range: 85,540 – 105,620 USD

At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
