Purpose of Role:

To support BU Engineering across the division in the areas of Layout engineering for mineral processing plants.

Key Responsibilities:
· Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Develop Prebid & detailed layout designs for mineral processing, sand washing or other similar layouts.Design the layout in compliance with the contract specific requirementsReview the process flowsheet & Liase with process engineers and propose process improvements for mineral processing plantsDevelop criteria for mechanical/Layout /process designEvaluate existing designs & propose design alternatives & optimization.Participate in HAZOP & Risk Assessment studiesConduct feasibility studies, determines cost & manpower estimatesCollaborate with process engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the layout meets all technical and safety requirements.Organize multidisciplinary reviews with electrical, structural, process & other stakeholdersPrepare project proposals & budgetary estimates for quotationLead the team in technical discussions with Customers & other stakeholdersCoordinate with suppliers and contractors to integrate their inputs into the overall plant design.Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.Visit the site , identify & troubleshoot customer issues

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent. More than 12 years of relevant experience in executing medium & large sized projects consisting of at least three or more stations.

Experienced in executing Greenfield, plant retrofit and upgradation projects in Plant layoutProficient in at least two or more regional codes & standards.Skilled in developing & reviewing process flow sheets for mineral processing plants Design in accordance with regional codes & standards with primary focus on safety and ergonomicsProficient in mineral processing products and familiar with installation, maintenance , & accessibility guidelinesKnowledge of multiple products & systems & Integration of different productsProficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, UG NX, SketchUp, Tekla).
