Job Responsibilities:

Proficient in Design & Development of Complete Seating Systems (Seats).Good understanding of regulatory requirements of North America (FMVSS), Europe (ECE), and other regionsDeveloping & maintaining of DFMEA, Engineering open issues list.Good knowledge of seat comfort / craftsmanship requirements andGood knowledge of seat trim cover design and development.Preparing DVP and understanding of various OEM specific requirements.Proficiency in the design of Sheet metal Components, foam pads, plastics and mechanisms integration.Product feasibility study & development of new parts in co-ordination with plant team & SupplierBOM creation, 2d drawings, manufacturing drawingsRFQ and costing of new projects.Knowledge of PDM & PLMAbility to work with Plant CFT, resolving engineering issues, handling customer concerns,Work with STA & Supplier to resolve engineering related concerns at supplier locationLead engineering activities in plant during new product launches & ECN implementationMust be a critical link between Seating Engineering & Plant teamsVery good written & verbal communicationMentoring of the junior engineers in the team and conducting performance
