As a member of the of the Gas Turbine Engineering organization of GE Gas Power, specifically a member of the Combustion Design module, you will be an active contributor to the advanced modeling, CFD simulation and methods development activities. You will perform high-end thermoacoustics simulations to assess the stability of the combustion system and propose mitigation strategies. You will collaborate with design engineers in supporting engine programs while ensuring that the hardware configuration meets all operability, emissions, and durability requirements.

What you’ll do

Use simulation and test data processing to conduct combustion dynamics analysis and assess system stabilityDevelop mitigation strategies using thermoacoustics toolsAssist in design decisions and root cause analysis by leveraging predictive analysis simulationsExecute the analysis or evaluation projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to engineering practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.Document work clearly and effectively present your work (including assumptions, status, and results) in formal and informal reviews.Develop methods, best practices and templates to be communicated with the global GE Vernova Combustion community.Support and comply with GE Vernova's ordered high-level priorities: Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

What you’ll bring

Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline, or equivalent experience Several years of engineering experience in a practical applicationExpertise in solving dynamical systems using CFD, Finite Element codes and/or network modelsThermoacoustics modeling and signal processing experience
