R&D unit in KTI is responsible for developing digital services at KONE. It’s the development engine for our Digital Services such as KONE 24/7 Connected Services, Office Flow and Partnership Ecosystem.
We are looking for a Lead Engineer, Network Solutions to develop and maintain wired and wireless data communication network solutions. You will be part of the Network Solutions team in Hyvinkää, Finland. There’s possibility to work remotely few days a week.
Main responsibilities
Work together with the team of highly skilled network hardware and software engineers
Network engineering work related to wired and wireless network solutions, based on commercial and in-house components
Engineering work consist of requirement management, specifications, hands-on laboratory work, validation, productization, collaborating with vendors and procurement
Innovate and develop quick prototypes
Validate networks using variety of test systems in network lab and in test elevators
Proactive collaboration globally with HW and SW colleagues inside and outside of own organization
To succeed in this role, you have
BSc or MSc degree for network engineering
Several years experience with network engineering including hands-on laboratory work
Deep understanding and experience of wired and wireless technologies, especially microwave link technology
Strong knowledge and experience on Ethernet, TCP/IP, switching and routing, VLAN, VPN/tunneling, topologies and redundancy, QoS
Experience from daisy chain network development and validation
Experience on running legacy data communication over LAN technology
Cybersecurity knowledge
Demonstrated ability to work with agile methods
Fluent in English
