**What you can expect to do here:**
+ Work with mechanical and electrical manager to establish and grow a team of electrical engineers in the GTA.
+ Lead a team, ensuring effective collaboration and resource allocation.
+ Conduct regular team meetings and foster a positive team environment.
+ Work with managers and business development leaders to pursue work in Ontario primarily focusing on GTA.
+ Design electrical systems for various building types across Ontario.
+ Manage project assignments from proposal to construction, including power distribution, lighting, and security systems.
+ Collaborate with a design team to develop electrical designs and prepare project drawings and specifications.
+ Communicate with clients, design partners, authorities, and contractors.
+ Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards.
+ Adhere to project budgets and timelines, maintaining accurate project tracking and billing.
+ Review existing systems and prepare condition reports and feasibility studies.
+ Prepare load calculations and select systems and equipment.
+ Coordinate project drawings using CAD and BIM software.
+ Participate in fee proposals and business development activities.
+ Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff.
**What you’ll bring to WSP:**
+ Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario (P. Eng.).
+ The drive and passion to build and lead a team.
+ 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering consulting for buildings and infrastructure.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to lead a team to deliver design submissions, often with demanding timelines.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, Proficiency with AGI or ETAP is considered an asset.
+ Ability to deliver comprehensive design submissions, often with demanding timelines.
+ Experience in creating tender document packages with drawings and specifications.
+ Experience with site reviews of building electrical systems.
+ An extensive understanding of building construction and building electrical systems and infrastructure.
+ A detailed working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, Ontario Building Code and the National Building Code of Canada.
