The Electrical Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for driving technical design quality Electrical Engineering. The SME works closely with engineers during the design process, ensuring design accuracy and compliance with original scope, customer specifications, and standard builds utilization. They are the main communication and collaboration driver with R&D for technical topics and are experts in Material Handling Applications and the Intelligrated product portfolio. The SME also leads technical escalation resolution when critical issues arise on project sites by leveraging the escalation and troubleshooting playbook.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Design Quality

\n\nEnforce technical design standards within Electrical Engineering.\nDrive technical design quality within their specific discipline, ensuring designs are accurate and compliant with original scope, customer specifications, and standard builds utilization\nWork together with engineers during the design process on an iterative basis, providing guidance and expertise\nWork closely with other functional SMEs to ensure quality turnover.\n\n

Design Reviews

\n\nConduct design reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards\nTake accountability for the accuracy and quality of the design, addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise\nHold technical design sign-off authority and accountability, ensuring that all designs meet the required standards before final approval\n\n

Collaboration with R&D

\n\nAct as the main communication and collaboration driver with R&D for technical topics related to product identified dependencies, issues, and modifications\nDrive the inclusion of new and modified products in the configuration tools to ensure readiness for PE implementations\nEnsure alignment between project engineering and R&D, facilitating the exchange of technical knowledge and best practices\n\n

Technical Expertise

\n\nServe as a fundamental technical expert within their discipline, providing deep knowledge and insights into Material Handling Applications and the Intelligrated product portfolio\nStay updated with the latest advancements and trends in their field of expertise\n\n

Technical Escalation Resolution

\n\nLead technical escalation resolution when critical issues arise on project sites, leveraging the escalation and troubleshooting playbook\nProvide timely and effective solutions to technical problems, minimizing project disruptions and ensuring customer satisfaction\n\n

Mentorship and Development

\n\nMentor and develop engineers within their discipline, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance the team's technical capabilities\nFoster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence within the team\n\n

Engineering Design Standards and Processes
