Lead Domain Architect

The OWG Tech department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Domain Solutions Architect to join our team. In this strategic role, you will lead the architectural vision and direction for your domain, collaborating with Technology and Business partners to design and communicate innovative solutions that leverage packaged solutions, cloud services, and custom development. Your leadership will be pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency and driving innovation across the organization.

Lead Domain Architect

We will count on you to:

Lead the generation and review of Architecture Documents, presenting them to the Architecture Review Board while collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into comprehensive technical solutions.

Define and promote architectural standards and best practices to ensure consistency and security across various domains, including enterprise applications, web applications, microservices, and application containerization.

Mentor and empower Senior Solutions Architects and other team members, guiding their professional growth and ensuring alignment with architectural standards.

Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends, sharing your expertise and evaluating vendor products to drive technology solutions that align with business objectives.

Act as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring architectural decisions align with business goals.

What you need to have:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in a solutions architect role or similar, with a proven track record of leadership in architectural design and implementation.

Extensive experience evaluating new technologies, frameworks, and tools to assess their suitability for solving specific business problems.

In-depth knowledge of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and full lifecycle implementations using both traditional and modern methodologies.

Proven experience in developing software solutions utilizing various technology stacks, including Node.js, Angular, React, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, JSON, and RESTful Web Services.

Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, with a strong understanding of cloud architecture and deployment models.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Cloud Professional Certification and TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Certification (highly desirable).

Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and articulate complex concepts clearly.

Resilience in the face of opposition to architectural ideals, focusing on constructive dialogue and collaboration.

Open-mindedness regarding technology and vendor choices, prioritizing results over personal preferences.
