Role Summary :
We’re looking for a Highly skilled Database Engineer who brings expertise knowledge in Oracle database along with APEX development skills. You’ll help lead the design, deployment, and lifecycle of mission-critical DATABASE platforms (Oracle19c, Oracle APEX, OCI) and services, while contributing to engineering tools, Project workflows, hybrid cloud strategies with an automation mindset. This is a key role in a high-trust team that powers secure, compliant
infrastructure for a global financial institution. Expect deep technical challenges, high visibility, and opportunities to influence platform direction.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in administrating medium to large databases in complex
enterpriseenvironments.
Familiarity with Oracle DBA engineering and APEX development activities.
Experience in financial services or other highly regulated sectors.
Exposure to multi cloud strategy.
Key Responsibilities and Required Skills:
Experience with management of Oracle Databases
Experience with Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c, Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard.
Oracle APEX development and deployment Knowledge.
Experience with Oracle Multitenant (Containers and Pluggable databases), in addition to its features such asHybrid Columnar Compression.
Knowledge of Oracle engineered (Exadata) hardware platforms, networking, storage and subsystems.
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
Experience with Installation/Upgrade/Patching of database software and related Exadata tasks.
Experience with backup/recovery design, DR implementation, monitoring implementation,
performance tuning and optimization.
Experience with storage management, provisioning, and optimization.
Deep experience with the Linux operating system and shell scripting.
Good understanding of fundamental technologies like TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, DNS, Load balancer, NFS.
Experience working within a project management processes:
Partner with business, technical, and application partners to discuss the project requirements and to help plan and develop solutions for the Oracle Database architecture.
Ability to plan and complete projects based on high-level requirements with inimal or no guidance.
Methodical and accurate while delivering tasks, working within project deadlines.
Systematic approach to identifying issues and pursuing paths to resolution.
Experience installing and building new solutions or improving existing applications.
Participate in the design, configuration and implementation of secure and scalable enterprise Oracle 19c RDBMs.
Plan, coordinate and implement security measures (Encryption) to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.

Strong planning and organizing skills including the ability to manage several work streams simultaneously.
Additional Skills a Plus:
Experience with Golden Gate.
Experience with Delphix.
Knowledge of Oracle In Memory database.
Encryption technologies and experience a plus.
Understanding and execution of the IT processes of Incident Management, Problem.
Management, Change Management, and Configuration Management (Service Now).
Monitoring, Reliability & Incident Response
Integrate systems with monitoring tools like Dynatrace, OEM, and custom health scripts.
Support alerting, auto-remediation, and telemetry for performance and availability.
Participate in on-call rotations, DR testing, and RCA for high-impact incidents.
Soft Skills:
Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable in fast-moving, audit-heavy environments.
Diligent with ability to cross check / robust validation of outcomes and results.
Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-team collaboration and contribution skills.
Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead by example in engineering practices and professionalism.
