Travel: Approximately 8% domestic and 2% international travel required per year.
Responsibilities: (1) Design and manage 100 - 500 standardized data pipelines with efficiency and precision; (2) Utilize PySpark and Pandas within Foundry to perform advanced data processing, including lazy execution, incremental transformations, and handling large-scale datasets; (3) Integrate and manage data from a variety of enterprise systems, including ERP systems (SAP S4 Hana, Quattro, PRD), LabWare, Historian Databases (IP21, Osi Pi), RDBMS (MSSQL, PostgreSQL), and APIs for platforms such as Salesforce and SharePoint; (4) Develop and Design front-end applications using Foundry Workshop, Slate, or equivalent AWS-based tools, delivering impactful solutions tailored to user needs to get rid of manual processes; (5) Manage Foundry's ontology framework to ensure seamless data governance and accessibility. Ensure high standards of data quality, security, and compliance throughout all data engineering processes; (6) Act as a platform owner, implementing strategies to minimize unnecessary cloud expenses and optimize resource utilization; (7) Own the Manufacturing Intelligence Tools roadmap, aligning development initiatives with long-term business goals to leverage data for predictive quality, reduced scrap, and enhanced productivity; (8) Mentor and lead a team of data engineers, fostering growth and technical excellence; and (9) Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units, to define and deliver impactful data solutions.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Employer requires candidate to have a Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field and five (5) years of work
experience as a software developer, data engineer, or related occupation working across the entire software development life cycle.
Candidate must also have the following:
(1) Demonstrated ability designing and delivering digital solutions using Palantir Foundry to help improve manufacturing planning, logistics, process monitoring and control, and root-cause investigations gained through five (5) years of work experience;
(2) Demonstrated ability developing robust, automated end-to-end data pipelines to feed downstream analytics and data science use cases gained through five (5) years of work experience;
(3) Demonstrated ability collaborating with operational teams to understand and prioritize user requirements gained through five (5) years of work experience;
(4) Demonstrated ability formulating clear development roadmaps, performing testing and validation, and deploying digital solutions aimed at improving quality, increasing labor efficiency, and/or maximizing production capacity gained through five (5) years of work experience;
(5) Demonstrated ability developing data solutions to enhance production and operational performance within a manufacturing environment gained through two (2) years of work experience;
(6) Demonstrated ability acting as a technical owner of enterprise-wide data platforms, driving innovation while optimizing costs gained through two (2) years of work experience; and
(7) Demonstrated ability leading a team of data engineers, analysts, or similar in a complex, global matrix organization gained through two (2) years of work experience.
All years of experience may be gained concurrently.
