The purpose of this position is to work on our enterprise advanced data analytics technology platforms, GCP, Tableau, Neo4j and Looker, ensuring they are maintained to deliver efficient and effective services for our enterprise data community, all aligned towards delivering Australia Post's strategic goals of Supporting our People, Delighting our Communities & Customers, and Creating a Sustainable Future.
As a Lead data engineer, this role will identify and implement best-practice application engineering lifecycle and agile approach, with a focus on leveraging cloud services and development tools, increasing the quality and reliability of output, along with the speed of delivery, and reducing friction of our development, delivery, and maintenance operations.
As a member of the Data Foundation team, this position will help define and development new patterns and standards for all assets in the Data and AI Platform environments. These patterns will be used by Data Engineering team to deliver business projects and initiatives. This position will also engage members of the Data and AI Services teams to assist and shape solutions to ensure they are compliant with DAIP strategic platforms and direction.
Essential Experience
Industry and Function
Experience working in very large complex organisations. Ideally postal service, logistics, transport, major retail, eCommerce or adjacent industry.Experience using advanced Data Engineering technologies on GCP/Looker/Neo4jExperience with software engineering dev-ops practices supporting enterprise production standards.Experience participating in data governance, data architecture and data strategy for very large complex enterprises.Experience with cloud development, specifically within a GCP environment.Market and Environment
