**Overview**
PMX is seeking a dedicated Sr. Data Engineer to join our dynamic Decisioning team. In this role, you’ll architect, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable data systems and machine learning pipelines that power ground breaking advertising solutions. You’ll own end-to-end development of client and agency-facing data applications - from initial research and design through deployment and optimization - using cloud-native infrastructure (primarily AWS). Seeking candidate with PySpark & Scala expertise, API integration experience, proactive in automation. Candidates will be evaluated on their ability to productionize big data solutions, collaborate effectively with data scientists and engineers, and contribute to impactful, real-world data products and services.
**Responsibilities**
+ Design, implement and maintain high performance data infrastructure/systems and data processing pipelines
+ Take ownership (research, architect, build, and maintain) of agency and clinet-facing data applications and solutions from start to finish
+ Back-end development (front-end development is a plus)
+ Work with Ops for AWS infrastructure optimization/tuning
+ Productionize and maintain PySpark code base
+ Work with data scientists on bug fixes, client enhancement requests and code optimization
+ Write PySpark/Scala applications for data processing and engineering
+ Be comfortable with platform integrations (read/write via api) and knowledgable about common benefits and pitfalls associated with them
+ Productionize scalable and distributed scripts techniques across a variety of big data
+ Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
+ Ability to research and deploy new evolving technologies
+ To enjoy being challenged and solve complex problems on a daily basis
+ Design and develop APIs for provision of services to internal and external teams
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Ability to work in teams and collaborate across multiple teams, including participation in case studies and pitch decks
+ Communicate concisely and persuasively with engineers and product managers
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s and or Master’s Degree in computer science/Engineering/Data Science
+ 5-8 years of experience in front/back-end software development, data analytics, machine learning and/or natural language processing (NLP)
+ Experience in designing and implementing automated data workflows, including search engine optimization (SEO), process automation, and scalable data architecture - ideally within cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Familiarity with cloud-native tools and services for data storage, processing, and orchestration is a strong plus.
+ Experience with Python, SQL, and/or Scala, Machine Learning APIs and NLP APIs (nltk, genism, spaCy)
+ Knowledge of statistics and probability theory
+ Experience with docker containers

Compensation Range: $110,580 - $173,995 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
