The Lead Data Engineer is part of the Ecolab Digital – focused on Institutional division’s Global Business Intelligence & Analytics and is responsible for leading and supporting development of information and reporting systems which create value and insight. This requires in-depth development experience with Ecolab’s cloud technologies (Azure, Snowflake, Power BI, Python, ThoughtSpot) in addition to the ability to independently lead multiple complex projects across organizational boundaries and influence others.

What You Will Do:
Work with the Ecolab DigitalF and Institutional Divisional BI team and other organizations to define and deliver solutions.Understand technology, business processes and opportunities in the context of the technical and business requirements and recommend sustainable solutions to extend the capability of the system.Contribute vision and integrate a broad range of ideas regarding business information definitions, processes, and analytics development.Demonstrates ability to extensively use data engineering principles, solve complex data flow challenges to integrate, model, and automate data pipelines using Azure and data systems.The employee should demonstrate mastering of skills across following data engineering areas: development of data integration pipelines between data systems, data security, ETL and ELT, quality engineering activities and data operation engineering using SSIS & Azure Data Factory.Develop tabular data models using visual studio and Power BI datasets by integrating data from different source systems like Azure data lake gen 2, Azure SQL database, share point etc. creating measures, calculated tables/columns through DAX.The employee should be able to assist in troubleshooting and problem resolution activities reported through Service Now & DevOps.Responsible for program design, coding, testing, deploying, debugging and documentation.Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.May act as expert in business or functional area. Formulate/define system scope and objectives.Provide work direction for BI projects to other developers by collaborating with Global BI business stakeholders.

The base salary range for this position is $130,100.00 - $195,100.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms.
