Lead Data Architect
This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. This is expected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026. As a Lead Data Architect here, you will be accountable for designing and implementing the data architecture that facilitates our organization's data initiatives. Your expertise in data modeling, database design, and data integration will be instrumental in shaping the foundation of our data infrastructure. You'll work on cutting-edge projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven decision-making and help us achieve operational efficiency. You will report directly to our Data Architecture Manager and work out of Charlotte or Morris Plains on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the organization by providing strategic guidance and technical expertise in data architecture. You will be accountable for designing scalable and efficient data solutions that enable the organization to leverage data as a strategic asset. Your work will drive innovation, optimize processes, and facilitate the organization's unbiased growth. Key Responsibilities + Develop and execute data management strategies to enhance data quality and accessibility + Lead data governance efforts, encompassing the establishment of policies, standards, and ensuring regulatory compliance + Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to extract valuable insights from data assets + Take ownership of data infrastructure and related tools to support business operations + Implement and uphold data security measures, ensuring privacy compliance + Contribute to data-informed decision making that aligns with the company's objectives + Promote an inclusive work environment and facilitate individual and team achievements YOU MUST HAVE + 8+ years of experience in data architecture, database design, and data modeling. + Strong thoughtful and problem-solving skills. + Proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques. + Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra). + Knowledge of data integration technologies and tools. + Strong insight into data governance and data management ethics. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. WE VALUE + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. + Certifications in data architecture or related areas (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional, TOGAF Certified). + Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). + Strong knowledge of data security and privacy regulations. + Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence technologies. + Excellent communication and collaboration skills. + Strong project management and organizational skills. + Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior data architects. + A passion for continuous learning and a proactive approach to adopting new technologies and methodologies.
