Lead Data Analyst
Job Summary:

The Subscriber Data Intelligence team is looking for a Lead Data Analyst who will help to develop and scale Lifetime Value (LTV) frameworks and interpret model outputs to support Disney’s streaming businesses (Disney+, Hulu, ESPN). This role will collaborate with Advanced Analytics and Data Sciences teams to understand the nuances of complex LTV models and partner closely with cross-functional business partners to report and interpret results over time.

Responsibilities

Partner closely with Advanced Analytics and Data Science teams to build, scale, and interpret complex LTV frameworks

Communicate complex trends and drivers to a wide array of business stakeholders with varying technical expertise from operational teams to Executive audiences

Partner closely with cross-functional business stakeholders to identify and unlock opportunities for increasing LTV across Disney’s DTC streaming offerings

Create and maintain operational dashboards in Tableau and Looker to understand performance over time, enable efficient exploratory analysis, and equip partners with self-serve tools

Translate complex business questions into SQL including proper cohorting, calculations, filtering criteria and/or aggregations

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or related field

7+ years of experience conducting strategic analyses and communicating insights to drive decision-making

5+ years of hands-on analytical work experience using SQL

Experience building, scaling, and interpreting complex LTV frameworks including understanding drivers of change over time and connecting them to shifts in customer behavior, product offerings, or strategy

Strong analytical skills with proven ability to translate complex technical outputs into clear, actionable insights

Highly collaborative with excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated experience presenting directly to Executive stakeholders

Familiarity with statistical modeling concepts and predictive analytics

Expertise with data exploration and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker

Comfortable working with large, complex datasets in cloud-based environments such as Snowflake

Desired Qualifications

Experience in the streaming media industry and/or supporting a direct-to-consumer or subscription-based product

Familiarity with using programming languages such as Python or R for statistical modeling

The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica is $138,900 - $186,200 per year and in New York is $145,400 - $195,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
