Role Overview:
Act as the PBL Manager for Singapore O&I program and support D level contract. Responsible for material availability and inventory metrics. Monitor the results of changes to the inventory plan/forecast and recommend modifications. Plan for prevention of excess inventory and "stock outs". Work with all levels of personnel (hourly, supervisory, and general foreperson) in resolving issues, tracking material availability, and advising on material usage.
Consolidate internal and customer provided data to track critical material. Host meetings to discuss material requirements with GE, MRO and customer contacts. Attend and participate in Program Management Reviews.
Use Lean (FLIGHT DECK) methodology and tools for continuous improvement and problem solving. Work with customers externally and internally to identify new opportunities to improve our current processes.
Includes people management responsibility for contractor support.
Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
Ability to attend meetings and problem solve outside of typical working hours to support teammates in the US and customer requests.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role is a professional with experience in materials management, possessing strong analytical, communication, and project management skills. They are adept at leveraging technical expertise and Lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement, manage inventory metrics, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure material availability and operational
Required Qualifications
This role requires at least 5 years of experience in Aerospace industry OR Logistics Handling or Raw Material / Finish Parts
Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Preferred Qualifications
Strong oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
Established project management skills.
Data Analysis skills in Excel
