Emerald Crest, a Cassia community, is hiring a Lead Cook to join our culinary team!
You’ll play a key role in supporting the well-being of our memory care residents through delicious, thoughtfully prepared food. This position works in our commissary kitchen located in Burnsville.

As a Lead Cook at Emerald Crest, you’ll handle food and supply ordering, create and update menus, and prepare meals for all three Emerald Crest locations. You’ll contribute to a positive dining experience and lead by example in a supportive, team-focused environment. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of commercial cooking experience and is comfortable following recipes and dietary guidelines.

Position Type: Full-Time

Shifts Available: 5:00 am – 1:30 pm

Pay: $24 - $29 per hour

Location: 451 E Travelers Trail, Burnsville, Minnesota, 55337

Lead Cook Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook meals in our commissary kitchen located in Burnsville.Complete food and supply ordering for all three Emerald Crest sites.Create and update menus for all three sites, ensuring compliance with dietary standards.Coordinates with the Culinary Director/Manager to align ordering and menu planning across locations.Package meals to be picked up for delivery to our 3 locations (Burnsville, Minnetonka, and Shakopee)Assist with new employee orientation education for caregivers. Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.Participate in meetings and required training to maintain regulatory standards of food service at the community.Inspect the kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements.Lead Cook Qualifications:1-2 years prior experience in a commercial setting. Ability to speak and read English.Basic math skills.Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
