Stryten Energy manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.

 

The objective of the Project Controls Technician is to support controls and production personel with solutions and improvements to overall performance problems on current and new automation, assembly, and injection molding controls.

 

This is a 1st shift opening (Monday - Friday; 7am - 3pm)

Responsibilities

• Develop upgrade plans for existing equipment and implement them for all like equipment.
• The Project Controls Technician will be the go-to person for the Controls Specialist for critical troubleshooting events.
• Develop PID loops for critical process controls to improve our process capabilities
• Support Controls Specialist during critical troubleshooting events including but not limited to machine vision systems, ultrasonic welding equipment, hot plate weld assembly, pressue decay test, and high voltage dielectric test.
• Take ownership of the automation aspects of our processes.
• Work closely with plastic process engineers to identify problems, troubleshoot, and optimize injection molding process.
• Work with plastic process engineers in setting up equipment for first time run and PAPP runs.
• Take a hands-on approach to improvements.
• Increase production speed at the current quality requirements and uptime
• Ability to grow your knowledge.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Certifications:
• Associates degree or greater in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2 years experience in STEM field.


Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:
• Must demonstrate a thourough understanding of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic machine systems.
• Good computer skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be able to provide good Leadership and training as required.


Travel, other requirements:
• Minimal if any travel
• Some weekend work
• Off-shift work required on an as-needed basis
