The Opportunity
As a Lead/Principal AI Architect, you will design and implement AI/ML solutions, provide technical leadership, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into core service operations. Leveraging industry-leading technologies and OpenText’s proprietary AI platforms (such as Aviator), you will build scalable, production-ready solutions that transform service delivery and drive measurable outcomes for customers.
You are great at:
Establishing and scaling an AI Center of Excellence focused on innovation, engineering excellence, and measurable service delivery outcomes.Defining the architecture and technical roadmap for AI/ML solution development and implementation within Technical Success Services.Identifying and leading high-impact AI initiatives—from technical feasibility assessments and PoC development to model training, deployment, and monitoring—across GenAI, agentic AI models, Microsoft Co-pilot, and OpenText platforms (e.g., Aviator).Designing and delivering reusable AI components, including model pipelines, orchestration frameworks, and MLOps tooling for scalable, production-ready deployments.Applying AIOps practices to improve IT operational efficiency through AI-driven root cause analysis, alert correlation, and incident resolution.Collaborating with Success Management, Cloud Operations, and Engineering teams to embed AI capabilities into customer-facing services and internal operations.Defining KPIs and success metrics for AI/ML initiatives and presenting actionable insights to senior leadership to enable data-driven decision-making.Ensuring all AI implementations comply with data privacy, security, and ethical standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, AI transparency and fairness).What it takes:
12+ years of experience in enterprise software, managed services, or cloud-native environments, with at least 5 years of focused work in AI/ML, data science, or enterprise architecture.3+ years of experience leading technical teams or practices, with a proven track record of delivering AI/ML solutions at scale.Deep expertise in AI/ML technologies, including large language models (LLMs), natural language processing (NLP), machine learning pipelines, and intelligent automation.Experience integrating GenAI, agentic AI, or Microsoft Co-pilot extensions into enterprise workflows.Solid understanding of AIOps concepts and practices—applying AI to improve IT operations, anomaly detection, incident management, and auto-remediation.Proven experience designing and deploying AI solutions on cloud AI platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.Hands-on experience with solution architecture, PoC development, MLOps, and production-grade deployments of AI systems.Strong analytical skills and technical decision-making capabilities in fast-paced, globally distributed environments.A solution-oriented and innovative-driven mindset, with a focus on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.Good to have: Familiarity with OpenText AI technologies such as Aviator, Magellan, IDOL, or Vertica, or equivalent enterprise AI platforms.What you will bring:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field.Good to have: Certifications in AI/ML, cloud AI platforms (e.g., Azure AI Engineer, AWS Machine Learning, Google Cloud ML Engineer), or enterprise architecture.AI/ML industry standard certification is a plusProven knowledge/work experience in AI for OpsThe ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the customers and internal stakeholdersGood knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling programs / initiativesThe ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problemsGood knowledge of program and project management methodsA high level of commitment, willingness to learn, and the ability to quickly apply new technologiesGood communication skills in English, verbal and written
