Opportunity Details:
Tour 2 (daytime) and rotate weekend shifts. Report findings, perform tests requiring special scientific skills, and, in the absence of the technical manager/director/administrator, be responsible for the proper performance of all laboratory procedures. Perform bench work on basis of laboratory needs for optimal patient care and does supervisory functions, as needed. Perform day-to-day supervision of test performance by testing personnel, monitor laboratory processes to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained, to include review of quality assurance practices, environmental monitors, instrument and equipment maintenance/function checks, quality control, calibration, and amended reports, if any. Review all Quality Control (QC), maintenance logs and patients’ results and ensures internal and external customer inquiries are responded to courteously, accurately, and in a timely manner and ensure complaints are properly resolved. Perform maintenance and calibration (daily/weekly/monthly) on instrumentation or applicable platforms, monitors supplies, inventory, and equipment for adequacy and functionality Troubleshoots problems and calls service or vendor technical support when needed. **This is a supervisory position**
