Opportunity Details:
Tour 2 (daytime). Rotate weekend shifts. Follow the laboratory's established policies and procedures, accession specimens and orders into the LIS, separate specimens for distribution to all laboratory departments, perform tests which require the exercise of independent judgment and responsibility, with a minimal supervision by the director or supervisor, in only those specialties or subspecialties in which they are qualified by education, training and experience. Knowledgeable about the contents of the policies and procedures (including changes) relevant to the scope of their testing activities. Perform bench work on basis of laboratory needs for optimal patient care and does supervisory functions, as needed. Manage proficiency testing (PT) and ensure that PT samples are treated like patients and quality controls, introduced in routine workflow, rotated amongst the staff and data is properly entered, reviewed, and submitted. Ensure evaluation report is monitored.
