Join us as we digitally connect the world and shape the future. **The Role** The Lead Business Solutions Analyst will serve as the strategic bridge between the business and technical teams within Lumen’s Public Sector organization—with a focus on Business Intelligence and AI platform development and solution architecture. This role translates business objectives into scalable data products, semantic models, and AI‑powered capabilities, while owning target‑state architecture, integration patterns, security, and non‑functional requirements. The ideal candidate blends product thinking and process acumen with hands‑on Business Intelligence and architecture leadership. **The Main Responsibilities** + Design complete solutions for business intelligence and artificial intelligence platforms, including how systems will work together and the steps to get there. + Create clear design documents like system diagrams, process flows, data models, and decision logs that explain why choices were made. + Define and manage shared data standards so reports and dashboards use consistent metrics and secure access controls. + Connect core systems (Salesforce, SAP, and others) so data flows smoothly using APIs and automated pipelines. + Build artificial intelligence-powered tools such as assistants for proposals, summaries, and planning, while ensuring they are safe and accurate. + Set up processes for managing AI models and data pipelines, including testing, version control, and monitoring for quality. + Plan for performance and security, making sure solutions are fast, reliable, and compliant with public sector requirements. + Support sales teams on proposals by providing technical input, cost estimates, and solution overviews; lead demos and proof-of-concepts. + Develop dashboards and reports that give leaders clear insights and track adoption of business intelligence and artificial intelligence tools. + Ensure compliance and security for all solutions, following public sector standards and preparing documentation for audits or approvals. + **Growth mindset and continuous learning** —seeks feedback, adapts quickly, and stays current on business intelligence and artificial intelligence best practices. + Product mindset—can prioritize a platform roadmap by value, feasibility, and risk; turns desired outcomes into clear epics and user stories. + Strong documentation skills (clear diagrams and solution blueprints) and experience participating in Architecture Review Boards. + Experience with event-driven patterns and microservices, near real-time analytics, and solid API design practices. + Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and passionate about data integrity, security, and measurable business outcomes. **What We Look For in a Candidate** + A Bachelors degree in business, Information Systems, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. + At least 7 years of experience in business analysis, solution consulting, or business intelligence, including 3+ years designing and delivering data or artificial intelligence solutions. + Strong skills in SQL and hands-on experience with Power BI (building data models, creating dashboards, and setting up security). + Knowledge of Azure-based platforms for data and artificial intelligence, such as Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI Search, Azure OpenAI, and Azure Machine Learning. + Experience connecting systems like Salesforce and SAP so data flows smoothly between them. + Familiarity with managing AI models and data pipelines, including testing, version control, and monitoring. + Understanding of public sector security and compliance requirements (such as FedRAMP and NIST standards). + Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex solutions in a way that business leaders can understand. **Compensation** This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
