The ICF team performs custom software development to modernize and integrate siloed, legacy applications using modular design standards. The team works closely with clients and other contractors to ensure the performance and reliability of public-facing, mission-critical applications.
As a Lead Business Analyst, you will collaborate with product owners, technical architects, and developers to create innovative business systems. This individual is responsible for bridging the gap between development, design, and product management by eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and communicating concise requirements for implementation based on business needs. Operating in an Agile environment, the Lead Business Analyst will utilize analytical and problem-solving skills and leverage technical capabilities to deliver optimal solutions.
The Lead Business Analyst will participate in building and integrating web-based applications to support our DoD Military Family Readiness project. This Lead Business Analyst will work directly with customers and internal subject matter experts to understand the business goals and objectives of the project and then translate those findings into actionable specifications for delivery. The Lead Business Analyst will work with technical leads to design new features and functionality based on customer need, collaborate with the development team to refine requirements, and manage solutions from design and development through production deployment. The Lead Business Analyst will produce technical documents detailing integration points and features for multiple applications in support of modernization of the legacy systems. The Lead Business Analyst also will work with the Program Manager and Technical Project Manager to codify and document the governance and project processes for the overall DoD Military Family Readiness project enterprise.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with various technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand complex business processes and define business requirements. Translate business requirements into concise, feasible, and verifiable user stories and acceptance criteria. Communicating with multiple teams to ensure requirements are clear and well understood from a functional and technical perspectiveMaintain and prioritize user story backlog. Work closely with business stakeholders on roadmap creation and own roadmap maintenance. Support the solutioning process by developing competencies in various technology platforms. Produce and decipher complex technical use cases, user stories, process flows, diagraming, data analysis, data mapping, interfaces, reporting and testing activities on web and hosted technologies. Develop functional documentation such as use cases, functional specifications, reports, and screen prototypes. Conduct system demonstrations for stakeholder feedback and validation. Codify and document project processes for use by multiple teams. Contribute to an Agile environment and apply best practices through cross-functional collaboration. Based on your experiences and interests, we may ask you as a technology professional to support growth-related activities, including (but not limited to) RFI, RFP, prototypes, and oral presentations. Team members are also expected to uphold and maintain appropriate certifications necessary for their practice expertise. Collaborate with UX designers and developers to ensure business requirements are reflected in intuitive, user-centered interface designs.Contribute to wireframe reviews, usability feedback sessions, and user acceptance testing to validate design and functionality alignment.What you must have:
8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a fast-paced application development environment.8+ years of experience facilitating requirements gathering, Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, capturing client requirements and feedback5+ years’ experience in documenting requirements and specifications for web and/or software development teams5+ years recent experience working in an Agile development environment as a business analyst (i.e., Scrum, Kanban, etc.)3+ years of experience collaborating with UI/UX teams or directly supporting user interface design and usability improvements (e.g., contributing to wireframes, user flows, or prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Lawful Resident (Green Card Holder) per federal contract requirementsMUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply. Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust.What we would like you to have:

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$81,094.00 - $137,860.00Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
