About the Role:
As an Lead Business Analyst, Data Control you will:
Acts as a liaison for internal to Thomson Reuters groups including and not limited to Data and Analytics, Responsible Data and AI and Business and Compliance Groups.Collects and synthesizes data to document requirements, translates into detailed governance solutions enabling Trusted and Responsible Data and AI practices.May work as the non-technical expert for one or more large, complex projects translating requirements into governance documentation, monitoring of the requirements, proof of concept completions and successful adoptions.Responsible for review of products, tools and platforms, regulations and/or laws and associated complianceDepending on the nature of the project, undertakes a combination of project management, technical/non-technical implementation, and analyst tasks.Provides guidance and facilitation to less experienced staff or may provide technical/non-technical domain expertise to groups especially on strategic priorities.Recommends and validates technical/non-technical solutions to meet governance and compliance requirements based on understanding of how solutions will impact the business and stakeholders as required.Implementation of Risk and Control framework, monitoring inherent and residual risks changes, control implementations and documentations for Product/Project/Initiative/Mergers and acquisition engagements.Monitor, manage, measure success of policy and data standards enforcement throughout data/product/AI lifecycle to ensure compliance with legal and multi-jurisdictional requirements.Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to track key performance indicators (KPIs/OKR).Develops extensive understanding of multiple Thomson Reuters technologies, products, and services.Provides strong leadership in many areas including defining/improving standards, mentoring less experienced colleagues, and implementation / project management of critical projects.Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.About You:
You're a fit for the role of Lead Business Analyst, Data Control, if you have:
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.10+years of proven experience as a Lead Data Business Analyst or in a similar role, with leadership experience.Ability to translate business issues, requirements into actionable plans, make timely and effective accurate/complete decisions for positive impactAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously with high degree of accuracy, completeness and timeliness.Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Experience with data and governance frameworks and analytics tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Atlan, Immuta, OneTrust).Knowledge of Control/governance and Responsible Data and AI data best practices.Strong knowledge of multi-jurisdictional requirements.Comfortable leading meetings and possess strong influencing and networking skillsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.Experience in designing and managing KPIs, and OKRs for data control/ governance.Certification in data management or governance (e.g., DCAM, CDMP, CIPP) is a plusThis role is critical in driving data-driven decision-making and supporting the organization’s strategic objectives.
