Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic commissioned Insurance Wholesale Broker to join Wholesure. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for acting as an intermediary between retail brokers and insurance carriers, ensuring that our clients receive the best coverage options available. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of the insurance market to create tailored insurance solutions that meet the unique needs of various clients. Your role involves developing and maintaining relationships with both retail brokers and insurance companies, negotiating terms, and closing deals to maximize profitability. In addition, you will need to stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and changes within the insurance landscape to provide strategic insights to your clients. Responsibilities:

Make marketing calls on sub-producers (prospective producers & active producers) to solicit business.

Receive and review new and/or renewal submissions for the purpose of quoting acceptable terms that will result in the binding of an acceptable bind ratio, which is normally at least 30% on new business and 60% on renewals.

After review making a decision as to whether coverage is to be quoted in-house (i.e. under binding authority) with Wholesure Broker/Underwriter then acting as an underwriter representing the insurance company represented, or brokering the account to markets that Wholesure has no authority with thereby acting as a broker and representing the sub-producer agency.

Bind business after it's quoted upon receipt of a written binding order from the sub-producer, by issuing a binder from our agency system.

Handling all transactions with the market underwriter and acting as the intermediary between the market and the sub-producer in all matters.

Overseeing Broker Assistants who may be assisting the Broker/Underwriter in these transactions to ensure that they are in compliance with Wholesure SOP.

Meet production quotas and develop strategies to achieve and exceed targets.

Must be able to travel to Acrisure/Wholesure offices, client offices and events as needed.

Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Knowledge of:

Property and Casualty insurance with emphasis on commercial lines.

Standard underwriting practices for commercial lines.

A majority of the brokerage markets that Wholesure places business.

How to compile a complete submission for the market underwriter, whether a binding authority market or a brokerage market.

How to rate property and general liability lines of business.

Management systems.

Demonstrated administrative computing skills, including Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, and Power Point)

Ability to:

Communicate effectively (both verbally and in written form) and in a professional manner with others, to include co-workers, vendors, market personnel and sub-producers.

Communicate well with insureds if that need arises.

Set up meetings with prospective agents, and/or producing agents to discuss what Wholesure has to offer them.

Type on a computer keyboard in order to input necessary data into our system.

Organize time in order to achieve the greatest efficiency and comply with time constraints on specific transactions.

Education/Experience:

Required:

Graduation from high school.

Current and active Property and Casualty producer license.

2 or more years in a financial services business and/or  insurance industry.

Preferred:

Two or more years of College work.

Completion of some insurance courses such as INS21, CIC or CISR, AU or CPCU.

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Pay Details:

Monthly Salary: $68,640 - $120,000
