We’re currently looking for: Sr. Automation QA Engineer

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain automation using RSpec for unit, feature and API tests and Capybara for feature/UI testing.

Ensure coverage across applications built using Ruby on Rails, classic Rails ERB frontend and ReactJS

Work with backend systems involving sharded MongoDB, Sidekiq, Redis, and Memcached.

Contribute to test stability and performance in systems utilizing Faye Server (WebSockets).

Participate in test automation execution in Docker/Kubernetes environments deployed on AWS, managed via Jenkins/ArgoCD.

Design, develop, and maintain robust end to end Automated tests.

Coordinate with development engineers to design test plans and analyze all functional and nonfunctional requirements for all automation test framework and provide training to staff if required. Develop test automation framework wherever required which can be used by other engineers

Implement test cases, evaluate results, prepare test data and design functional tests in required framework

Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.

Continually adapt existing practices / principles to accommodate the changing product and technological landscape

Performance test strategy, data preparation and execution of high level performance test cases with the input from product managers 

Participate in Agile / Scrum activities, Sprint Plannings, Standups, code reviews and product demos

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent.

Minimum 10+ years of QA Testing and Automation.

Strong experience in Web and Frontend testing with a thorough understanding of data flow between frontend and backend systems.

Strong experience writing automated tests using RSpec (especially for API/backend validation).

Hands-on experience with Capybara for UI and feature testing in a Ruby environment.

Experience with test execution in CI/CD workflows using Jenkins, Git, ArgoCD, or similar tools.
Ability to troubleshoot and work with complex backend infrastructure including MongoDB, Redis, and background job processors like Sidekiq.

Exposure to real-time applications involving WebSockets (Faye Server).

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.


 

Nice to Have:

Any Contact Center or Telecommunications experience is a plus.

Experience with Playwright/Cypress or similar modern E2E tools.
