Position Overview:

We are seeking a Lead Audiologist for a new Audiology and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery program specializing in complex Otology and Neurotology. This clinical audiology role primarily involves adult patients with complex hearing, ear, and balance disorders. You will perform a broad range of diagnostic and rehabilitative services, including:
•\tComprehensive audiological evaluations
•\tCochlear implant evaluations
•\tBone conduction implant evaluations and programming
•\tHearing aid assessments, fittings, and follow-ups
•\tVestibular testing (e.g., VEMP, VHIT)

EDUCATION:

Other: Graduate of an accredited audiology program


CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

AUDIO-Licensed Audiologist

BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

ASHAA-Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology


TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

8 years recent relevant experience.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Ability to help evaluate audiologists and audiology techs for new hires and ongoing performanceKnowledge of audiology staffing, space, and equipment needsExperience with audiology business management including hearingaid salesInterest in shaping audiology clinic flow and processesWorking closely with ENT colleagues, including otology/neurotologyWorking primarily with adult patientsDiagnosing and treating patients with complex ear diseaseStrong skills in diagnostic audiometryWorking with adult cochlear implant and bone conduction implantpatientsHearing aid fitting and follow upCritical thinking, complex problems solving, decisive judgement and ability to work independently.Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements.Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies.Demonstrates effective and efficient professional communication (verbal & written) skills as well as interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service and community relations abilities.Keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement.Analytical thought and judgement to identify innovative solutions.

Pay Range is $68.28 to $85.34 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package. ​
