Lead Application/Production Support
**Job Description:** Ensure seamless application functionality and optimal product performance by providing expert technical assistance, continuously monitoring application health, managing and resolving application issues, implementing changes, and maintaining service assurance and performance metrics. **Key Roles and Responsibilities:** Typical responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: + **Application Monitoring and Response:** Continuously monitor applications for outages and performance issues, proactively respond to alerts, and develop outage management tools and automation solutions. + **Problem Management and Resolution:** Diagnose and resolve complex application problems, manage the issue lifecycle, conduct thorough root cause analysis, and ensure continuity of business operations and service assurance. + **Service Assurance Management:** Maintain and oversee service levels and SLAs, ensure optimal application performance, contribute to long-term planning, and monitor key performance metrics. Collaborate with end users, application delivery teams, and third-party vendors as needed. + **Change Management and Implementation:** Manage and implement application updates, patches, and deployments across pre-production, testing, and production environments, ensuring changes are executed smoothly and effectively. + **Tuning and Configuration:** Optimize application and infrastructure configurations, support and configure performance monitoring tools, and analyze transaction flows for continuous performance improvement. ​ **Job Contribution:** A seasoned professional recognized as an expert in the field, adept at resolving complex issues with broad and deep technical knowledge. Leads significant projects with strategic autonomy, influences executive-level decisions, mentors less experienced staff, and implements long-term plans that impact the organization. Frequently collaborates with senior leadership. Handles complex Tier 2 issues, possesses in-depth knowledge of multiple applications and business processes, assists development teams in root cause analysis and future improvements, and defines automation requirements throughout the production support process. **Education and Experience:** Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required.
