Position Summary:
The Lead Analyst, Inventory Risk and Buy-Ins is pivotal in managing and mitigating risk associated with inventory buy-ins and other significant inventory investments. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of inventory strategies, risk assessment, and financial analysis, with a proven ability to implement effective risk management solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Assessment & Mitigation:Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop models to forecast and mitigate potential inventory risks.Design and implement strategies to safeguard inventory investments, including contingency plans to minimize exposure and waste.Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:Collaborate with Product Strategy and Supplier Partnerships (PSSP), Operations, Finance, Sales/Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to align risk management strategies with organizational goals.Communicate risk insights and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders, serving as the subject matter expert.Continuous Improvement & Industry Awareness:Monitor the effectiveness of risk management strategies, adjust as needed, and stay updated on industry trends.Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies in inventory management.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience7+ years of inventory management experienceIntermediate skillset with data querying tools (Toad, Access, SQL)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.Strong analytical skills with proficiency in risk modeling and analysis toolsWorking Knowledge of SmartsheetStrong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
