Whether our customers are traveling for business or pleasure, you are the professional in the airport that crafts important connections and encourages an environment where everyone feels welcome, valued, and respected. You will be interacting with our domestic and international customers in our lobbies and at gates, helping them with ticketing, baggage, greeting customers as they start and end their journey and doing it with a smile. You will provide friendly, professional, confident, and insightful service to help resolve customer travel issues and make their experience memorable.
Job Overview and Responsibilities:Fixed Term Position as Parental Leave Replacement
Lead, direct and coach UA personnel (CSRs)Working in Airport Lobby, Gate, and Baggage Service officeEntails working with the ground handler to supervise the ramp for all United flights and ensuring vendor compliance with all security requirements and regulationsMeeting, boarding flights, and assisting customers wherever requiredOther duties include back-office administration, full operational supervision to ensure smooth and professional service to our customers, both internal and externalFull operation supervision of vendors and ensuring compliance with all security and safety requirements and regulationsThis position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent school leaving certificateMinimum of 2-3 years of previous work experience in airport operationsProven track record of reliability Professional image and appearance Strong communication skills Conflict resolution and decision-making, with the ability to leadMust be fluent in English and German (written and spoken)Flexible approach to work standards and dutiesPublic contact / customer service experienceMust be able to live and work in Germany/EU without visa sponsorship or supportSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionMust be able to work any shift/any day including holidays, weekends and/or nights in a 24-hour operationAttendance is required at work locationPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's DegreeInternational GSC qualifiedWorking knowledge of the regionFluency in other European languages (written and spoken)
