Lead Accountant
Description We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Accountant to join our team in Delray Beach, Florida. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial oversight, manage accounts receivable for income-producing properties, and provide leadership within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, budgeting, and financial processes, as well as the ability to supervise and guide team members effectively. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage accounts receivable for income-generating properties, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. • Develop and monitor budgets, providing insights and forecasts to support financial planning. • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheets to maintain accurate financial records. • Handle wire transfers and ensure all payment processes are executed efficiently. • Collaborate with banks and financial institutions to address inquiries and manage financial activities. • Supervise and support accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. • Provide leadership in financial planning and analysis to align with company objectives. • Assist in preparing financial reports and presenting key insights to stakeholders. • Support the acquisition, rezoning, and resale of land by managing related financial tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial oversight and reconciliation. Must have a Degree in Accounting only- no other concentrations would be considered • Proven expertise in account reconciliation, including bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheets. • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. • Experience managing wire transfers and payment systems. • Ability to supervise and mentor team members, promoting a positive work culture. • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail. • Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks or ERP, and advanced Excel skills. • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and external partners effectively.
