As the lead accountant, you will collaborate with and provide financial analysis on programs that support the introduction of new products. You will work closely with the SPM Oil & Gas engineering and product team on SPM’s profitable growth goals. In addition, this position will provide an opportunity to apply technical skills that will improve current reporting routines that drive toward overall business unit success. **What You Will Do:** + Partner with the business to provide strategic insights on product offerings + Prepare and analyze Research and Engineering spending including tax reporting + Prepare and analyze monthly warranty reporting + Influence our finance culture by demonstrating desired behaviors, including but not limited to continuous improvement **What You Have:** + **Accuracy and Attention to Detail:** Understand the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high level of precision. + **Analytical Thinking:** Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; capacity to determine root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions to resolve those problems. + **Effective Communication:** Utilize effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. + **Decision Making:** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; capable of accurately analyzing situations and reaching productive decisions based on informed judgment. + **Financial Planning & Analysis:** Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools for financial reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations as well as read, interpret, and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material. **Top Candidates Will Have:** + Accounting or Finance degree + Product Costing Experience + Experience analyzing and presenting financial results with business partners **Additional Info** : + This position is located in our Fort Worth, Texas office and currently requires 5 days a week in office + Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify + Sponsorship is **not** available + International and Domestic travel up to 5% **Summary Pay Range:** $110,520.00 - $165,840.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
