Overview: A leading investment management firm is seeking a Lead .NET Developer for a long-term contract with a secured budget and several years of project work ahead. This hybrid role is based in San Antonio, TX, requiring on-site presence Tuesday through Thursday. This role will lead modernization efforts across a large enterprise application landscape. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in .NET/C#, cloud-native architecture (Azure or AWS), and microservices, with the ability to guide teams, support legacy systems, and drive delivery in a high-paced Agile environment. Key Responsibilities: * Architect and lead development of microservices using Azure or AWS * Develop and maintain backend services using C#, ASP.NET, SSRS, SSIS, and SQL Server * Guide observability and monitoring using EventBridge, CloudWatch, and Splunk * Leverage modern C# (8+) features like records, pattern matching, and switch expressions * Support and modernize legacy systems alongside new API development * Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams * Manage sprint priorities, hotfixes, and backlog grooming in a Scrum environment * Contribute to DevOps practices and containerization efforts (e.g., AWS EKS)
