The Distributor Domain team is a domain-driven, platform team at the forefront of Prudential's digital transformation. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development, deployment, and management of sophisticated API solutions using AWS cloud, Spring Boot, and JavaArchitect and oversee the implementation of solutions utilizing DocumentDB and Neptune DB deployed in AWSEstablish and enforce best practices in API design and deployment, with a strong focus on performance, governance, and securityDrive the adoption of modern design patterns and architectural principles across the teamSpearhead problem-solving initiatives for complex issues and guide the team in developing innovative solutionsLead code reviews and establish team guidelines to ensure consistently high-quality deliverablesOversee the investigation and resolution of critical production issuesMentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellencePlay a key role in architectural decisions and shape the technical direction of the teamCollaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectivesLead knowledge sharing initiatives, including technical presentations and lunch & learn sessionsRequired Qualifications:
8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership roleDeep expertise in Java development, particularly with Spring Boot, and a proven track record of leading complex projectsExtensive experience with AWS services, cloud-native application development, and CI/CD practices using JenkinsDemonstrated ability to architect and implement solutions using NoSQL DB’s Strong background in microservices architecture and RESTful API designProven experience in leading and mentoring development teamsExcellence in problem-solving and the ability to guide teams through complex technical challengesStrong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications:
Experience in the financial services or insurance industryProficiency with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)Advanced knowledge of GraphDB, particularly Neptune on AWSTrack record of implementing security best practices in software developmentExperience with agile methodologies and leading agile development teamsAt Prudential, we value innovation, inclusion, and technical excellence. What we offer you:Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $138,500.00 to $206,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
