Shipping Lead – 1st Shift

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7AM - 3:30PM

Pay: $18.95/hr

What will you do?

A day in the life of a Shipping Lead at VF looks a little like this.

Under the general direction of the shift supervisor, this person will be an active leader for employees. The Shipping Lead will assist the supervisor in the execution of facility operations to meet production goals within the Shipping & Receiving department.

Lead associates in the Shipping operation during their shift, ensuring smooth workflow and timely order processingBe visible and vocal within the department, stepping in to support or fill in for associates as needed.Delegate responsibilities effectively and ensure all associates are aligned with daily goals.Use strong communication skills to coordinate between departments, shifts, and management.Coach and train associates, providing ongoing support and feedback.Ensure adherence to safety protocols and standard operating procedures.Support associates in their daily duties to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.Ensure all associates meet or exceed daily productivity goals.

What do you need to succeed?

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

2–3 years of experience in Shipping and/or Warehouse Operations.Past leadership experience directing workflow and/or leading a group of employees.Strong multitasking, organizational, and leadership skills.Ability to interact well with all levels of employees.Excellent oral/written communication skills in English.Computer knowledge and experience using RF scanners.Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for 8–12 hours.Willingness to work overtime and on alternate shifts as needed.

 There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

Familiarization with PKMS system.

Hiring Range:

$16.56 USD - $20.70 USD per hour

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
