And so much more.​   ​Come break through with us.  Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use. **Role Summary:** The Lead, Procurement Operations role is crucial in establishing Procurement Transaction team to drive Quality, Cost, Delivery and Services as a part of Procurement Transactions process. This role will manage transaction team responsible for Procurement Requests, Contract Management, PO processes & Supplier Data Management at the HUB. This position will work with cross function teams to make sure Transaction team is trained on Tools & Processes. Will be responsible to deliver Transactions volume/efficiency and continuous improvement in tactical transactions. This position will also work with Procurement & Contracting operations project team to deploy Guided Sourcing and Intake tool across sites and monitor performance. The position will closely work with other functions, Ex. Corning shared services & business stake holders to address special/emergency/urgent requests. This position is very important and visible since this will be part of newly created team for E2E SC Transformation. **Key Responsibilities** + Lead the team by example and drive results to deliver key performance metrics. + Establish a strong working relationship with the site shared services teams and actively collaborate to support effective operations. + Collaborate with regional team to ensure one Global Procurement Transaction process across regions. + Encourage team for process improvement ideas and make efforts to implement those in process. + Track key performance metrics Quality, Cost, Deliver, Services for Procurement Transactions, such as Procurement Request, Contract Management, PO Process & Supplier data Management. + Partner with other cross functional owners to Perform root cause analysis and address with preventive actions. + Work with Procurement & Contract team to deploy Tools & Processes at Hub and train transaction team. + Utilize PowerBi to monitor & report accurate performance at Division, Site, Team levels. + Support process improvement efforts to ensure both accuracy and efficiency, helping to align Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance on One unconstrained demand plan. **Required Qualifications (these are skills that candidates MUST possess)** + Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Procurement Operations + Bachelor's degree required (business, supply chain, etc.) + Communications Skills - working with the businesses, the Global Supply Management function, suppliers, and the Shared Services Center + Customer Service – working with internal customers and external suppliers. + Decision Making - must have the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment. + Multi-tasking and Priority Setting + Software competencies - Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel - Outlook) + Analytical Sills - must display strong analytical qualities. + Data Analysis - turning data into actionable information. + English speaking a must. **Desired Skills (these are skills that would be nice for candidates to possess)** + Operations experience + PeopleSoft, Ariba, SAP (s4hana and SAP ECC6) + Procurement knowledge + Performance Excellence skills set + Problem Solving + Team leadership and participation **Soft Skills {Communication/Team/Leadership}** + Results oriented. + Detail oriented. + Able to work without direct supervision but as member of a team + Oral communication and persuasive skills + Ability to establish positive relationships with internal customers. + Must be agile and enthusiastic to overcome day to day process issues Corning Puts YOU First!
