Position Overview
Join Humana as a Lead in IT Portfolio Management supporting our Human Resources function, where you will be instrumental in driving transformational business impact. This leadership role is responsible for shaping and delivering technology solutions that empower our workforce, streamline operations, and advance our mission to improve health and well-being.
The Human Resources team at Humana supports a comprehensive range of processes and services, including payroll, benefits administration, talent acquisition, learning and development, and performance management. By leveraging advanced technologies, cloud platforms, and artificial intelligence, we continually enhance workforce development and optimize talent strategies.
Key Responsibilities
IT Portfolio Management
Oversee and optimize the suite of IT initiatives, projects, and systems supporting the HR function.Partner with Segment CIOs and business leaders to develop financial models and business cases for strategic initiatives.Facilitate annual and ongoing prioritization processes; maintain and update business cases and cost models.Ensure alignment of project investments with business strategy, considering resource capacity, risk exposure, and interdependencies.Measure and report on portfolio health across delivery, financials, and value realization.Conduct regular portfolio reviews to highlight variances in scope, timeline, and cost.Track delivery effectiveness and proactively identify risks to timelines.Financial & Investment Management
Analyze trends and performance against plan; identify and remediate causes of unexpected variances.Develop and enhance budgeting, financial projections, and forecasts for prioritization and operating budgets.Ensure traceability between delivery plans, labor capacity, and required budgets.Advise on demand/capacity planning, ramp plans, and labor sourcing strategies.Collaborate with IT Finance to provide comprehensive financial reporting for multiple audiences, including monthly variance and productivity tracking.Validate and aggregate contracts, ensuring alignment with IT Owners.Manage contracting and software renewals, assisting with about 30 enterprise procurement and supplier management cases per month, as well as vendor software optimization and renewals.Additional Leadership Functions
Oversee a substantial Corporate Services Technology (CST) operational budget across multiple lines of business, providing financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis for prioritization activities throughout CST’s portfolio.Ensure all HR IT projects comply with organizational goals, HR strategies, and regulatory requirements.Engage stakeholders across IT, HR, and business functions to ensure solutions meet evolving needs.Drive continuous improvement by analyzing performance data and adopting best practices in HR technology management.Use your skills to make an impact
Required Qualifications

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
