Job Responsibilities:

jectives of the Job:
1.    The core objective of this position is to manage an engineering team of Interior to work on vehicle development projects.
2.    Group leader sets up the team, monitors team dynamic in project execution to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery, and ultimately to meet customer satisfaction.
3.    Group leader builds and improves technical competence for the line organization and ensures know-how transfer to employees by means of mentoring and training.

Main Duties:
1.    Set group strategy for Interior in-line with company and department goals.
2.    Set-up project teams and assign project tasks to team members for proper project execution.
3.    Oversee project execution for in-time and high-quality delivery, make organization adjustment if necessary.
4.    Build and maintain a technical-advanced functional team of Interior.
5.    Manage group members, including recruiting, goal setting, attendance, disciplinary behavior, retention, performance review, etc.
6.    Lead Interior projects per Department Manager request. Monitor project progress and report to Dept. Manager / Project Manager.
7.    Build and maintain Interior database for organizational competitiveness. 
8.    Support the building and maintenance of customer relationships.
9.    Educate and foster a culture that is in-line with Magna Core Value.
10.    Request support from Department Manager to put in-place disciplinary actions if required.
11.    Perform other engineering tasks as required by Department Manager.

Qualification:
1.    Degree in Automotive engineering, Mechanical engineering, Industrial engineering, etc.
2.    Candidate should have ten or more years of Interior engineering and development experience.
3.    Candidate should have three or more years of Interior engineering team management experiences.
4.    Proficient in oral and written English. German is a plus.
5.    Proficient in CATIA V5 and Microsoft Office suite. NX is a plus.
6.    Good understanding of vehicle design and development processes, work content, and deliverables at each phase of the development lifecycle. Work experience in OEM preferred. Experience with German OEMs preferred.
7.    Broad understanding of vehicle engineering topics (e.g., mechanics, material, strength and stiffness, durability)
8.    Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, other metal forming and fabricating, plastic molding, painting, general assembling)
9.    General understanding of vehicle engineering organization (e.g., vehicle architecture, complete vehicle, body, trim, chassis, E/E) and its upstream and downstream partners (e.g., marketing, styling, purchase, quality, logistics, aftermarket, plant)
10.    Deep understanding of project management principles and best practices.
11.    Advanced soft skills in communication, leadership, conflict resolution, problem-solving moderation, and presentation.
12.    Person of integrity who recognizes the practices the values of: Think big, Take responsibility, Never settle, and Be collaborative. 
13.    Be able to travel domestically and abroad.
