Lead, Inspector

Lead, Inspector. The lead inspector will ensure that all incoming and outgoing materials go through the proper levels of inspection, according to OEM Technical Data, Customer work scope, AAR and ISO 9000 standards.

What you will be responsible for:

Oversight of assigned QC inspectors’ job performance and the ability to resolve personnel issuesSupervises, coordinates, leads the work of assigned teamLeads training, mentoring and development of assigned team members. Establish and maintain effective work relationships within “all” departmentsWorking closely with maintenance personnel to address and resolve any identified issuesMaintain professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilitiesExamining aircraft engines, parts, and systems to identify any defects or potential issuesPerforming routine pre-flight inspections to ensure aircraft is safe for operationInterpreting and adhering to regulations set by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), company policies and procedures and customer policies and procedures outlined in service agreementsWriting up reports on aircraft condition and inspection findingsVerifying that all necessary repairs have been completed correctly and to the required standardsEnsuring that all aircraft and parts comply with the quality standards and proceduresAssessing repair procedures and methods for efficiency and compliance within FAA, OEM, Engineering, Company and Customer guidelinesConducting and documenting training for maintenance and repair personnelAny other duties assigned by leadership

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $26.75 to $33.19 hourly. This range reflects the base pay for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location. AAR offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision/life/and ADD insurance, 401(k) savings plan with employer match, paid time off and holiday pay, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.

Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceFAA Airframe and Powerplant License
