About the Role
In this role, you will be a core member of a small but effective integrated regional team that will help HARMAN build and grow Asia Pacific’s digital ecosystem.


You will have a deep understanding of social media platforms and trends in the APAC region and will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that engage our target audience to drive brand awareness with an understanding of the importance of its impact for mid to end funnel.


You are a right brain marketer with a performance-led mindset and a knack for analytics to understand the strategies that you drive. You will also be able to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results with the goal of bringing best in class experiences to life for our consumer. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for digital business growth.

Your Team

You will report directly to the Senior Manager, Digital & E-Commerce, with a dotted line to the Marketing Manager, and this is an independent contributor role. You will also be working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to drive brand and category growth.  

What You Will Do

Creative Leadership

Lead the development and execution of comprehensive creative concepts for campaigns and product launches across all marketing touchpoints that align with the brand's vision and marketing objectivesCollaborate with cross functional teams to (rest of marketing, sales, product strategy etc) to develop creative requirements that are aligned to the business needsOversee the creation of compelling brand stories and messagingManage relationships with external creative agencies and in house visual designers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely executionManage creative budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation  

Social Media Strategy

Develop and execute best in class social media strategies across our APAC markets to enhance brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation through our social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok and other relevant platforms, with consideration on the impact to full funnel marketing.Drive new initiatives with up-to-date knowledge on the latest social media trends, monitor competitor activities and industry developments in APAC markets for opportunities to drive growth and optimise content strategies.Analyse and report on social media metrics, tracking KPIs and leveraging insights to improve strategies for continuous improvement.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as marketing, creative, digital and eCommerce teams, to ensure alignment of messaging and campaigns across various channels to support both integrated marketing campaigns and digital-led campaigns.Be the brand guardian to ensure that all social content is on brand and aligned with the brand guidelines and strategyWork with in country teams to manage and review local social content calendars; ability to activate and respond to new trendsDevelop best practices and strategies on leveraging social livestreaming to drive awareness and conversion opportunitiesPartner with local marketing comms lead to drive best practices of leveraging influencers as part of the social content ecosystemThis role will also require you to manage agency relationships, to ensure data and reports are delivered on timeWork closely with customer service to provide a positive customer response on all of our social channels

What You Need

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field. Prior background from an Arts or Design School is a bonus.Minimum 5 years’ of experience in creative, brand marketing and social media roles, preferably in the consumer electronics or lifestyle industry, preferably with agency experienceDeep understanding of the Asia Pacific markets, APAC consumer trends.Strong foresight in creativity, trending social media knowledge and skills is a mustStart-up mentality with a can-do attitudeAnalytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, derive insights and make data-driven decisions.Creative, innovative thinker. Detail-oriented, ensuring high-quality content production.Ability to blend social media as an art form with social analytics to make informed decisionsDemonstrated ability to develop and execute successful social media strategies that drive engagement, brand awareness and business results in APAC.Proficiency in social media management tools, analytics platforms and content creation tools is a must.Solid hands-on experience in social media strategy, planning and digital activations. You have a good knowledge of how and when to leverage different marketing channels.Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite)Excellent writing and editing skills.Strong, proactive and effective communicator and a reliable team player. Ability to work independently.Experience in high-growth, fast-paced and dynamic environments preferred.

What is Nice to Have

Prior experience in Consumer Electronics or FMCG industry with APAC experience.Experience working with international teams and adapting to diverse cultural contexts.  Ability to juggle between the details and big picture, manage multiple and competing projects and priorities.Passion for and genuine curiosity for innovation in the social media space and a strong understanding of having a performance-driven mindset.Passion for technology and a keen eye for detail.Adaptable to ambiguity, changes and be at the forefront to lead change in both actions and behaviour.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a culturally-diverse team environment, and understanding what it means to achieve success with others and through others.Excellent communicator and able to perform well in a matrixed organization. Proven experience in managing and influencing a network of local senior managers and managers in a cross-functional team.
