KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 10 countries. Job Summary As a Senior Logistics Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support in logistics and supply chain operations to support field level maintenance activities. Working directly for the Equipment Maintenance Manager, this role involves coordinating and overseeing various aspects of logistics to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods and materials. The Senior Specialist will collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to optimize logistics processes and contribute to the overall success of the organization's supply chain efforts. Roles and Responsibilities + Maintain compliance with safety policies, government regulations, and military doctrine related to equipment maintenance operations. + Execute the processing of items through the Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-Army), resolve discrepancies, and maintain databases and files in accordance with established guidelines. + Assist the Equipment Maintenance Manager with the management of employees during the performance of all logistics operations within the Maintenance Activity. + Conduct maintenance management functions, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, equipment dispatching, special maintenance work, and inventory management (authorized stockage levels, excess management, etc.). + Perform inspections and maintenance of peripheral equipment, ensuring all maintenance requirements are met. + Perform causative research to resolve discrepancies related to receipts and issues. + Utilize the best practices in logistics and contribute to the development and enhancement of standard operating procedures. + Possess or obtain hazard certifications: HAZ 12 & HAZ 15. + Possess or obtain technical transportation of hazardous material and European Hazardous material certification. + Monitor and track shipments, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any issues that may arise during the transportation process. + Oversee the customs clearance processes with the US Military and the host nation customs offices. + Provide a strong level of customer service and promote teamwork. + Adhere to all safety procedures and policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members. + Perform other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications) + Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a NACI. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Green Card holder who has lived within the United States for at least the last 3 years to be eligible for this position. + Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of directly related logistics experience. + Must be proficient in the use of the GCSS-A system, especially transaction codes related to Receipt and Issue/Storage processes. + Must be proficient in running a storage section in an SSA utilizing GCSS-A. + Must have or be able to obtain hazard certifications: HAZ 12 & HAZ 15. + Must have or be able to obtain a Technical Transportation of Hazardous Materials certification. + Requires the ability to multitask and work with little or no supervision. + Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, reaching, and carrying. + Must have a valid Driver’s License. + Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages. Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications) + Advanced certifications or training in GCSS-Army and maintenance management systems. + Familiarity with equipment maintenance and inspections. + Previous experience in the military or military support services. + Strong analytical skills with the ability to create and analyze performance metrics. + Knowledge of Environmental, Safety, and Shared Services regulations in logistics operations.
