You will provide support the Algeria business unit on any legal matters that arise as directed by the Managing Counsel, including;Draft and negotiate, and advise on,, matters regarding exploration, development and production sharing agreements, joint venture agreements, operating agreements, operations contracts, drilling agreements, master services agreements, purchase orders, service orders, lifting agreements, marketing and sales agreements, plans of development, unitization agreements, joint facility agreements, confidentiality agreements, and various other types of documents.Provide legal advice and support to the business unit’s various departments such as procurement, technical depts., human resources, finance, tax, information technology, compliance and risk management as may be directed by the Managing Counsel.Attend meetings and negotiations with SONATRACH, ALNAFT, ARH, international oil and gas companies, contractors and other parties and communicate in French, English and Arabic as may be directed by the Managing Counsel.Review and draft policies, standards, procedures and guidelines (“PSPGs”) for the Algeria business unit in French, English and Arabic.Review and draft templates of various types of agreements for the business unitTrack, review and advise the business unit regarding new Algerian laws that affect the business unit’s interests, including to maintain the relationship with outside counsel regarding same and update regularly the Managing Counsel and the business unit.Assist the business unit regarding presentations, minutes and other matters relating to committees that manage or advise operations as may be directed by the Managing Counsel.Support claims, disputes, mediations, litigation, and arbitration, including to interface with outside counsel and attend court proceedings as may be directed by the Managing Counsel.Required Qualifications (listed in order of priority):

Minimum of five years’ of experience working on international matters at a top-tier law firm or multinational oil & gas company (working experience in international and/or Middle East North Africa oil and gas matters particularly is a plus).A minimum of four (4) years of top-tier law firm experience is desired.Significant experience working in a civil law jurisdiction. Experience in negotiations, management and implementation of highly sophisticated contracts involving multi - parties, multi - international and local government agencies, and interdisciplinary regulatory frameworks. Experience negotiating oil and gas contracts such as exploration, development and production sharing contracts, joint ventures, operating agreements, operations contracts particularly is a plus.Experience in Local Algerian Employment and Labor law, regulations, policies and practices.Experience working with the U.S. FCPA, the U.K. Antibribery Act, sanctions, U.S. antiboycott, export controls and other compliance-related topics.Law degree from a top-tier law school with excellent grades and law license.Fluency in English, French and Arabic is required.Recruitment Fraud
