KEY OBJECTIVE:
In this role, you will be responsible for the day to day legal and administrative support for Chubb Insurance Company of Canada’s (CICC’s) House Counsel, practicing civil litigation with a focus on subrogated claims (plaintiff) litigation.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a law clerk, legal assistant, paralegal or similar; previous experience in civil litigation preferred;Completion of post-secondary education;Thorough understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure and the litigation process in Ontario;Ability to work well independently and as part of a team;Excellent communication and customer service skills;Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and handle confidential information;Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, good typing skills and adaptability to technology;Excellent proofreading skills with demonstrated excellent attention to detail;Excellent time management and organizational skills;Ability to prioritize workflows and initiate processes, as required.
