Law Analyst – Real Estate Law

POSITION SUMMARY: This is an exciting and challenging role working with a group of attorneys and internal clients to support the Company’s real estate activities. The successful candidate will draft, review, and analyze real estate agreements, perform in-depth legal research, serve as primary liaison with internal clients, implement and enhance process controls and strategies, and assist with other legal matters. This role will help design, develop, and leverage forms, templates, and processes, evaluate and implement enhancements to software tools, collaborate with third parties, and manage an active workload of real estate legal matters. Successful candidates will have strong analytical, organizational, and contracting skills, and a strong orientation toward collaboration and process improvement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: + Draft, review, and analyze real estate agreements and documents including, but not limited to, leases, licenses, easements, access agreements, surveys, deeds, and purchase/sale agreements, and evaluate the need for additional legal review. + Represent the Company in meetings and develop collaborative relationships with third parties. + Research, analyze, and stay informed of legal and regulatory issues and industry trends affecting the Company. + Recommend and implement solutions to existing or potential contractual, legal, and regulatory issues. + Participate in business development activities, including evaluation and analysis of due diligence items and transaction agreements. + Serve as the primary liaison with the commercial real estate team and manage an active workload of real estate legal matters. + Recommend, initiate, and implement enhanced process controls and improvements to achieve organizational objectives. + Use technology tools to collaboratively, effectively, and efficiently manage matters, projects, and research. + Collaborate and develop strong relationships with the Law organization and business partner personnel. + Prepare reports and presentations and participate in other activities to educate Company employees. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: + Bachelor’s Degree; or Associates Degree with two (2) years of experience in lieu; or four (4) years of experience in lieu. + Education & Training desired in law, compliance, supply chain, business management, or other relevant fields. + Preferred: 2 - 5 years of relevant experience assisting with commercial, multi-state real estate transactions. + Experience in a corporate capacity preferred but not required. + This position belongs to a family of jobs with increasing responsibility, competency, and skill level.
