Investigates and reconciles data issues to ensure reporting and accounting accuracy. **Duties and Responsibilities** **Essential Functions:** + Performs a variety of tasks to support the system-wide mission of Logistics and Distribution including, but not limited to, issuing supplies, maintaining inventories and compiling stock records, receiving, preparing items for shipment and/or return to vendor, etc. Complies with US Postal Service Regulations. + Performs data entry into various systems. + Ensures data entry is done in a timely, accurate and consistent fashion, in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. + Investigates and reconciles data issues to ensure reporting and accounting accuracy. + Tracks-Expedites-Statuses shortages/backorders for inventory items. Ensures standard operating procedures are followed in connection with purchases of materials. Maintains computerized purchase order files and related records of current suppliers, materials and delivery. + Compares computer balances with periodic sampling checks of physical inventory. Researches and reconciles discrepancies. + Participates in evaluation of acceptable substitutions. + Works with managers, supervisors, technicians, supply distributors, freight aggregators, linen providers and equipment vendors. + May work directly with clinical customers and/or Procurement & Contracting. + Responds to requests for information from Finance for invoice approval, in regards to shipping quantities and product differences. Works with vendors for resolution. + Process returns. Prepares bill of lading.
