At Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, we believe that behind every crisp sheet, fresh towel, and perfectly pressed uniform is a team dedicated to excellence. We are currently seeking a passionate and detail-driven Laundry Assistant Manager to lead our laundry operations with precision, care, and pride.

As Laundry Assistant Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our guests and team members experience the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. From coordinating the daily rhythm of laundry activities to maintaining uniform excellence across the hotel, your leadership will ensure everything runs seamlessly behind the scenes.
 

What You’ll Do:
Laundry Operations

Oversee the daily operations of washing, drying, ironing, folding, and sorting guest laundry and staff uniforms

Ensure hygiene and safety protocols meet or exceed local Health Regulations

Monitor and report any maintenance needs for laundry equipment promptly

Implement cost-effective practices for chemical usage, utilities, and labor

Collaborate with the Director of Rooms and Director of Housekeeping on audits and operational standards
 

Uniform Management

Manage the issuance, collection, repair, and organisation of staff uniforms

Maintain accurate inventory and track replacements and repairs

Work with HR and department heads to ensure timely distribution of uniforms for new hires
 

Linen Management

Assist in maintaining par stock levels of hotel linens

Conduct stocktakes and manage third-party linen services to ensure quality and accountability
 

Team Leadership & Training

Train, mentor, and supervise the laundry team to achieve productivity and service excellence

Schedule shifts effectively to meet operational needs

Ensure team adherence to hotel policies, safety, and environmental regulations
 

Guest Laundry & Special Fabrics

Ensure high standards and timely delivery of guest laundry services

Track all guest laundry transactions and special requests

Assist in the upkeep of fabric furnishings including duvets, cushions, curtains, and carpets
 

What You Will Bring:

Proven experience in hotel laundry operations or a similar supervisory role

Strong leadership and organisational skills

A keen eye for detail and commitment to quality

Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

Familiarity with laundry equipment and inventory management systems

Understanding of hygiene and safety protocols
