STGi is seeking a Laundry Aide to provide services at our Georgia War Veterans Home. GWVH will be opening a new unit that will be dedicated to the needs related to diagnoses of Veterans with PTSD, TBI, history of behavioral disorders, and substance use issues.  If you have compassion and a passion to care for Veterans, this could be the job for you!

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Perform day-to-day activities of housekeeping and laundry services as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor to assure the facility is maintained in a clean and comfortable manner.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Clean, disinfect equipment and supplies, monitor environment for potential hazards, clean vacant rooms as assigned, ensure proper disposal of infectious waste(s) into appropriate containers and other duties as assigned.  Wash and dry residents clothing items using facility machines.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Work is typically performed in an environmentally controlled environment. Work is performed on multi-level facilities.
