Launch, Sr. Manufacturing Engineer - Vehicle Software Integration

Being a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, you will be involved in the complete product and process lifecycle, end- to-end. You will take products from concept to large scale manufacturing. You will closely work with design engineering to develop manufacturing equipment, conveyors, tools and fixtures required for full production while taking DFM concepts into consideration.   

You Will: 

Support all aspects of vehicle software in manufacturing.  Collect, maintain, and report on a range of product assembly metrics.  Troubleshoot all software and network communication issues with the manufacturing team. Work with Low Voltage Systems Engineers to troubleshoot electrical issues during the assembly process.  Ensure consistent vehicle software configurations.  Support vehicle bringup.  Interface with design engineering to review product designs for Manufacturing feasibility in General Assembly Assess in-house manufacturing capabilities and implement new processes and/or equipment where justifiable to expand those capabilities. Work with Design and Quality on PFMEA creation and maintenance. Work with Manufacturing Diagnostic Engineers on EOL tests. Experience developing and launching complex assembly processes. Extensive proficiency in creating written and pictorial documentation of manufacturing processes. Work independently with concepts and documentation from prototype to sustaining activities. Work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines. Remain engaged, pro-active, and positive in tough circumstances, owning assignments and taking full accountability for their success. Ability to influence outcomes and drive initiatives in complex environments. Maintain flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments, coping with rapidly changing information. Collect, analyze, and summarize information to a general understanding, thinking abstractly and separating complex ideas into simple elements. Being creative and provide innovation idea to improve process/technology in past projects is a plus. Communicate clearly using written and verbal skills. Well organized with meticulous attention to detail. 

You Bring: 

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, STEM or related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience. 5+ years of experience with automotive software and EE integration. Awareness of MFG EOL Test Fundamental understanding of electronic control units, sensors, actuators, as well as ECU communication. Experience with software upgrade and diagnosing vehicle subsystem through UDS based tooling. Experience with standard EE lab instruments (oscilloscope, multimeters) and data bus analysis tools such as CANalyzer, VehSpy.  Ability to read wiring harness schematics.  Experience in automotive manufacturing plants OEM or Tier1.
