The first shift Laser Drill Operator I is responsible for set-up and operation of laser drills and Mazak lathes to product parts and components.


This position is part of the Pall Aerospace Air Value Stream and will be located onsite in New Port Richey, FL.  The work schedule is Monday thru Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, and overtime is routine.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Prepare parts for the laser drilling process including machining graphite plugs and applying splatter agents.

Set-up and operate laser drills and Mazak lathe to drill holes to quality and production standards.

Complete all necessary paperwork as required including scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers, and data. Communicate ideas, problems, and concerns to management.

The essential requirements of the job include:

High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e., GED) plus basic working knowledge of shop math, i.e., convert common fractions to decimal and vice-versa, convert inch to metric and vice-versa, calculate part and feature dimensions and locations, calculate plane geometry / math applications, etc.

Comprehend and interpret blueprints and detailed work instructions; work to close tolerances and capable of inspecting all work. Understand, follow and effectively communicate verbal and written instructions.

Required lifting weight: up to 35 lbs. Lifting frequency: Daily. Occasional lifting to 50 lbs. with assistance. Ability to lift, sit, twist, or stand for long periods of time. Good eye and hand dexterity.

Other Requirements:

This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required.
